About

The purpose of this page is to share the ongoing activities involving the Lebanon High School (TN) Band including information on performances and fundraising activities.

As fundraising opportunities happen, this page will be updated in hopes of partnering with businesses in the Lebanon community to promote their enterprises and continue the positive growth of the LHS Band.

Mission Statement:
The mission of the Lebanon Band is to improve the lives of our students through the performance of music by teaching them skills not only related to the mastery of their instrument but also through the development of skills related to organization, punctuality, confidence, teambuilding, leadership, personal responsibility and responsibility to each other and their community.

We hope that the high standards that are expected of them will make them successful in life regardless of which field they are in after graduation. The Lebanon Band also works hard to represent Lebanon High School positively in this community and in others as we travel.

About our program:
The Lebanon Band is under the direction of Director of Bands Ben Channell and Assistant Director of Bands Max Amoss IV.

The Lebanon Band has seen a tremendous amount of growth over the past decade. Coming from humble beginnings, the band program has made huge strides on their overgrowing path to success.

Our program hosts one of the longest running annual marching band contest in Tennessee, the Blue Devil Invitational. We were pleased that the Blue Devil Invitational was one of the few marching band contests in the United States that was still able to be held in 2020 under the strict guidelines put in place due to the COVID pandemic.

As a competitive marching band, the Lebanon Band has placed into finals at the 2017 and 2018 Music City Invitational and they were accepted to compete at the 2018 and 2019 Contest of Champions. In 2019, they placed in their class at Contest of Champions for the first time in more than twenty years.

The Lebanon Concert Bands have consistently received superior ratings at MTSBOA Concert Assessment events and performed at the TMEA State Concert Festival in 2019.

The Lebanon Band has participated in parades in New York City and at Disney World and has also performed at the World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C., and Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio in 2022.

We thank you for your continued support of our program!
