Concert: Cedar Creek Community Band and The Nashville Community Band (April 1st)

The Cedar Creek Community Band has a special concert scheduled for Monday, April 1st at 7PM in the Lebanon High School Auditorium.

This concert will feature the premiere of “Cedar Creek Overture” which was written by Lebanon High School Band Director Ben Channell to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the Cedar Creek Community Band.

Also, we will feature a performance by The Nashville Community Band.

Please come out and support these great ensembles. Many students and alumni of the Lebanon Band have performed with the Cedar Creek Community Band over the years and both ensembles are instrumental (pardon the pun!) in giving members of our community the ability to keep performing!

March 2019 news

Greetings, all! We’re back to at least monthly updates here on the website as we have more activities coming up to finish out the school year.

There are no schedule band concerts this month. However, there are several events of interest that we want to share with you.

Tuesday, March 5th: Although this is not a public performance, the Lebanon Bands will be performing at the Concert Performance Assessment. At CPA, bands are scored on concert pieces and receive feedback that is useful for making the concert bands they best they can be. Also, we’re lucky enough that CPA is at Lebanon High School this year so other bands from our area will come to LHS and perform in our auditorium.

Monday, March 11th – Friday, March 15th: Spring Break! Plus, members of the Lebanon Band that are also a part of our Chamber Choir will be performing at Disney World during spring break.

Tuesday, March 19th: Band booster meeting in the band room at 6:30PM. All parents are encouraged to attend!

Thursday, March 28th – Sunday, March 31st: Our musical, Little Shop of Horrors, will be performed in the LHS Auditorium at 7PM Thursday, Friday and Saturday and at 2PM on Sunday. Members of the LHS band have roles in the musical and will be performing the musical score live. This will be a fantastic event for the entire LHS Fine Arts department and we hope you will attend.
