The mission of the Lebanon Band is to improve the lives of our students through the performance of music by teaching them skills not only related to the mastery of their instrument but also through the development of skills related to organization, punctuality, confidence, team-building, leadership, personal responsibility and responsibility to each other and their community.
Music for All Seasons
Marching Band
As a competitive marching band, the Lebanon Band has placed into finals at the Music City Invitational and have been accepted to compete at the Contest of Champions every year since 2018. They placed in their class at 2019 Contest of Champions for the first time in more than twenty years.
Concert Band
The Lebanon Concert Bands have consistently received superior ratings at MTSBOA Concert Assessment events and performed at the TMEA State Concert Festival.
Wind Ensemble
The students who perform exceptionally well in Concert Band are invited to audition for Wind Ensemble, which is a smaller group of students who are dedicated to performing at the highest level.

Lebanon High School opened its doors in 1918 and the Lebanon Band has played an active part since the beginning.

Studies show that a student involved in music on average has increased language proficiency, improved IQ and better math skills. Over 30% of our students have an A average, while over 45% have a B average

During concert season, our students try out with MTSBOA, with more than 10% of our band making it into mid-state and all-state.
